I used everyday lighting to brighten up some of the darkness of my night photography, such as headlights, house lights, and streetlights). I took my night photography shots around my house and yard, and on my street. It was about 8 P.M., and it gave the perfect amount of darkness due to the clear sky. I composed my photos by looking for one focal point of light shining down and illuminating the rest of the subject area. I saw shadows as a perfect use for the photo of the shed as like an eerie feeling in the photo. The focal point of light would attract your eye and draw you to what it was lighting up, and what I wanted you to see. I think my images portray eeriness and terror, as if someone was afraid of the dark. On a more metaphoric note, I wanted to evoke the idea of a person looking for the light, or good, in every dark, or bad, situation.
